Customer Brief
The pergola site was a finished corner of the customer’s garden: an L-shaped concrete terrace wall with a built-in bench, a gravel seating area and a fire pit. What the space lacked was a roof.
The customer’s requirements were specific:
- A footprint of exactly 4.98 m × 4.98 m, matching the space between the wall and the garden.
- The structure had to be mounted onto the existing walls on two sides — no standard kit could do this.
- Windproof side blinds for the two open sides, which face an exposed part of the property.
- LED lighting integrated in the roof for evening use.

| Component | Specification |
|---|---|
| Roof | Adjustable aluminum louvers — open for sun and air, closed for shade and rain protection |
| Side blinds | Windproof mesh blinds in integrated guide tracks; lower to block wind and rain spray while keeping the view |
| Lighting | LED strip integrated into the roof frame perimeter |
| Finish | Anthracite grey powder coating, matched to the existing concrete wall and bench |
| Structure | Heavy-duty extruded aluminum posts, beams and louver blades, engineered for wall-mounted spans |
Design & Installation Highlights
Because two sides of this pergola rest on an existing concrete wall, the anchoring was engineered for the specific site rather than taken from a standard layout.
Mounting plan confirmed with hand-drawn sketches. Before production, the column layout was worked out on paper and shared with the customer: the two wall sides were marked, and every anchor point was specified — 0.94 m stub columns seated on the wall runs, and 2.30 m full-height posts on the two open sides. Custom sizing like this is why off-the-shelf kits were never an option for this site.

Production and export packaging. All profiles were cut, drilled and wrapped to order in our workshop, then secured in a reinforced wooden crate for the overseas shipment — pre-cut lengths, protective wrapping on every contact point, and a numbered packing list so the customer knew exactly what each crate contained on arrival.

Installation. The structure was delivered to Bavaria and installed on site in mid-August 2026. The transition points — where the pergola meets the existing structure — were the critical part of the build.

Corner columns on the wall runs are fixed with brackets made of high‑strength premium‑grade materials bolted into the concrete, so the roof load is carried directly into the wall.

On the two open sides, the full-height posts stand on bolted base plates in the paved area, with the side-blind tracks integrated into the post profiles.

The close-up photos below show the two anchoring details: the wall-mount bracket with its capped bolt, and the post base with the recessed profile channels that guide the windproof blinds.

Completed Project Photos
With the roof on, the corner reads as a finished outdoor room: a ceiling over the bench, warm light overhead, and blinds that drop when the wind picks up.

Customer Feedback
After using the pergola through the summer, the customer was satisfied enough with the result to recommend us unprompted. He asked permission to pass our contact details to an acquaintance who had seen the pergola at a trade fair:

Referrals are the strongest signal we can get that a project was done right.
